How many of you know that there is power in the blood, Wonder working power in the blood. Alleluia.
Gods power has not diminished, it is not failing, Gods power is an ever present victory for all those who will receive it, for all those who will accept it Gods power will uphold anyone who will call upon the name of Jesus
Ps:63:8: My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Gods power is the same today as it was in the past. He can still put plagues on the wicked He can still part the red sea He can still deliver the oppressed He can still save the lost He can still heal the sick He can still raise the dead
Glory!!!!!!!!!!
What I'm trying to say is God, is still God!!
1 Peter 1:3-5 3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4: To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5: Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
This is a continuation of Power Power that does not fade away Power that keeps on working
This the power of God that draws the lost
1. This is the power of God that redeems the fallen
Rom 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The power of God unto salvation. No one can be saved without the power of God working in their life. Sin caused the human race to fall short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death But the bible says that Gods gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ. He bore all sin upon the cross, He suffered the cost, he paid the sin debt for us. When that first drop of blood fell upon mount Calvary's hill, Gods divine saving power was unleashed on the world.
This is the manifestation of Gods redemptive power to all who will believe This is the fulfillment of John 3:16 John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This is not just a little bit of power that saves those who haven't done anything except maybe told a little white lie. No, This is enough power to save, liars, thieves, murders, adulterers, fornicators, backsliders, talebearers Bless God, this is enough power to save the world.
Not only is this enough power to save you, it is enough power to strengthen you and revive you
2. Revives the fainthearted.
Isa 40:29: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Many Christians are spiritually fainthearted. They have weak faith, they allow the adversary to instill doubt and unbelief in their minds. But God is right there. Watch this now. It says, "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength". This scripture is saying that God has so much power that he gives some of it away.
The church today doesn't want to hear about how God empowers you. The church today is trying to kick the power of God out. That's right, they want to operate in the love of God, and leave the power of God out of the equation They are trying to get away from all of that laying on of hands, all of that anointing with oil all of that tongue talking, and all that faith stuff.
It's alright to preach how God strengthens you, or how he will uphold you But don't start preaching on the greater things that you can do because He goes to Father.
Jn:14:12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
It's time for the church to claim the promises of God. It's time for us to receive the greater works that Christ is talking about. It's time for us to be about our Fathers business, and let Him run it with the manifestation of His power. "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength".
Paul said, Gal. 6:9: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
If we faint not, we will reap. Glory to God!!!!!!!!!! First God tells He is going to give us power so we don't faint, Then He says If we don't faint, we will reap. God is setting us up to achieve His purpose. By His power.
You know why some folks aren't operating in the power of God? Because they are simply Afraid.
3. Reassures the Fearful
John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
God has told us not to be afraid!!!! The world abounds with countless dangers of many kinds. Millions of people live in fear of the unknown. God has told us not to be afraid. Why does fear abound in the church? Because His power has not been accepted. It's time for the church to believe God. Isaiah said, "No weapon formed against me shall prosper". Paul said, "If God be for us who can be against us". 2 Timothy puts it like this: 2Tm:1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
A spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
We need to stop being afraid of God, and start operating in the boldness of God. Somebody needs to look the devil right in the eye and say:
Phil. 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
That word right there that was translated "strengthened". In the Greek it is "dunamis", and it means, to empower. You can read that scripture like this: Phil. 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which has empowered me.
It's time for the church to accept the empowerment of God in their lives and go forth doing the work of the Lord. We're not supposed to come in here on Sunday for a booster shot to see us through till next Sunday. We are supposed to be getting the knowledge of the Lord today and putting it to use when we leave here for the furthering of Gods kingdom. When the church starts applying Gods power in their lives, The blind are gonna see The deaf are gonna hear The lame are gonna walk Glory to God, We're gonna cast out devils, freely give, and freely receive..............
Here's something else Gods power does
4. It Rewards The Faithful
Rev.2:10: Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
If you can receive it, and believe it. God is going to reward you in this life and the next.
2: Tim. 4:8: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Gods power should be manifesting itself through us daily. If we look around we can see the power of God at work everywhere. Don't let the enemy keep it from you. God wants you to be blessed beyond your wildest imagination.
